Protect™ resins are partially formulated with plant-based materials leading to a lower carbon footprint of your products. Adding to the sustainable advantages of this line of resins, products produced with Selenis Protect™ are 100% recyclable in PET stream, and thus compatible with a circular economy. Protect™ co-polyesters are BPA-free and don’t contain BPS(bisphenol) or any other bisphenols.
Protect™ co-polyesters include a wide range of grades, offering solutions for reusable bottles, hot-filling applications, aerosols and textiles fibers. These grades are suitable for IBM and ISBM processes.
The Protect™ product range covers a variety of specific requirements, offering increased heat resistance, very good chemical resistance to washing chemicals as well good compatibility with product ingredients and better dyeability, when compared to standard PET.

Protect™ IS 019 FB100 is a semi-crystalline co-polyester suitable for reusable bottles up to 1L. Resin can be processed by IBM or ISBM, due to its increased heat resistance as well as good chemical resistance to chemicals used in industrial washing lines and/or dishwashers.

Protect™ IS 019 FB300 is a semi-crystalline co-polyester suitable for hot-filling of containers up to 500 mL. Resins can be processed by IBM or ISBM, due to its very good heat resistance as well as good chemical compatibility with food ingredients. The use of Protect™ IS 019 FB300 avoids extra costs related to aseptic filling or crystallized neck bottles.

Protect™ IS 019 FT100 is a semi-crystalline co-polyester suitable for the fiber textiles applications, namely clothing. Protect™ IS 019 FT100 presents a better dyeability than PET, and is stained at lower temperatures than PET, reducing energy consumption during the process.

Protect™ IS 019 AE is a semi-crystalline co-polyester suitable for aerosols for containers up to 500 mL and can be processed by IBM or ISBM. When compared with existing solutions available in the market, such as PET, Protect™ IS 019 AE presents an increased heat resistance, fulfilling the requirements of EU standard X6-647 for plastics aerosols. When compared to aluminum or tin-plated aerosols, resin shows several advantages, namely flexibility in design, transparency, no corrosion, no risk of explosion when kept in direct light, low weight and improved carbon footprint.
