CODE OF ETHICS

The Code of Ethics, is aimed at establishing the reference framework for understanding and implementing the conduct and standards that the Company expects from its employees in their day-to-day work.

We express our values and we define a strong ethical culture that leads us to perform and serve as our basis to what is economically, environmentally, and socially right, while entailing an internal regulation of obligatory compliance.

The standards of Business Conduct and Ethics apply to all directors, senior collaborators and permanent employees of companies of the Group, as well as to non-permanent employees, interns, experimental workers, in addition to any other temporary staff.

Selenis’ code is not based only on a set of norms, but also on a reflection of our unwritten corporate culture that gives meaning to the values ​​and principles that lead us on our decision-making process throughout the years.

As a part of our strategy to be a regenerative organisation, we take responsibility for our impacts. Consequently, we have set up a channel so that our stakeholders can anonymously report their ethical concerns, such us breaches of our Code of Ethics, our Supplier Code of Conduct, or any other ethical issue our stakeholders might have. We promote the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the ILO Core Conventions on Labour Standards. At Selenis, our executive management team is continuously evaluating group performance, in the economic, environmental and social aspects, with a critical eye.

Our goal is to continuously enhance our actions. Our future outlook focuses on achievement of a true circular economy. This is attainable through the innovative solutions we offer our customers so that together we can meet the global pledge to close the loop.

SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

The IMG Group has established a well-structured Sustainability Committee that serves a critical coordinating function to steer our sustainability strategy into a competitive advantage for our businesses.

Our Sustainability Committee continually works on a variety of projects, either internal or through partnerships with customers and suppliers, with the goal of maximizing our positive impact on the world. The committee is devoted to addressing the impact of PET resins and accelerating a circular economy by exploring solutions that close the loop.

MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE

The team is composed by C-level and managing positions to accelerate the decision-making process. The committee is accountable for the sustainability strategy and performance of all our business units.

OBJECTIVES OF SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

The main goal of our Sustainability Committee is to integrate all business units that individually, or in partnership with other business units, contribute towards the development of new raw materials or products that positively contribute towards our sustainability strategy:

Address and meet our policy, objectives, and sustainability guidelines

Regularly review our sustainability performance and KPIS

Promote relations with different stakeholders and try to meet their needs

Continuously define and carry out new projects as opportunities appear

Measure and manage non-financial risks

The committee’s intentions are to promote legislations, directives, customers’ and the markets’ sustainability goals through:

New raw materials or products with enhanced physical or chemical properties

Raw materials, products or processes for easy recyclability

Raw materials, products or processes that promote a circular economy

Raw materials or products that allow our customers to reduce the weight of their products, whilst maintaining properties and integrity

Partnerships with suppliers that promote the sustainability of our end-products

Participation and integration in organizations and entities that promote recycling, circular economy, reduction in CO2 emissions and sustainability

As of 2008 Evertis and SPV have collaborated together in the recycling of post-consumer PET in Portugal. At times we have recycled up to 90% of Portugal’s recovered PET bottles.
