Selenis rethinks plastics with their new line of resins for kitchenware

In response to the recent trend in kitchen style, where refrigerator and pantry organization and appearance have become as important as designing your closet, Selenis has recently launched a new line of resins specifically designed for aesthetic kitchenware.

Selenis KitxenTM copolyesters are specifically developed for kitchenwear applications, such as refrigerator bins and pantry storage containers. These resins are suitable from thin to thick wall injection molding of highly transparent parts with blue edge effect. Injection molded bins made from Selenis resins combine excellent clarity and gloss, with superior toughness and durability.

Kitxen™ grades are an economical and innovative solution when compared to PMMA, polystyrene and PC, whilst maintaining excellent product performance in terms of transparency and endurance.

Selenis has developed a range of grades for this market, offering a selection of products that can fulfil your specific needs adjusting to final product specification. The Portuguese-based company has especially succeeded in providing sustainable solutions for those brand-owners looking for environmentally friendly products, offering both fully recyclable products, as well as the possibility of incorporating up to 50% non-virgin raw material.

Kitxen™ CE are copolyesters are fully recyclable in the PET stream and can carry RIC1 designation1. This solution is in line with the US Plastics Pact and European Plastics Pact target of plastic that is 100% recyclable, both pacts signed by the company’s Group, as well as other commitments signed by the company, such as the business call for a UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution.

Selenis Eco Kitxen copolyesters are a sustainable version of their production range with up to 50% post-consumer rPET, a solution that will fit the expectations of brand owners looking to rethink plastics and supply more eco-friendly products.
